Year 2 News Summer 2 – Week 7

What a wonderful ending to a busy summer term! This week the children enjoyed writing imaginative letters to their new teachers, based on the book, Dear Teacher. Continuing the theme of Let’s Tour the World, the children had lots of fun creating their own board games that included places from around the world. They collaborated and shared ideas in pairs or small groups and then played their games with lots of enthusiasm.

Later on in the week, the children performed their end of year show to an audience of parents. The children performed with such professionalism and sang their hearts out. We were all very proud of each and everyone of them.
We ended the week with a visit from our Year 4 buddies from Little Green School. The Year 4 children shared stories which they had written and published on the computer. The Year 2 children really enjoyed this experience and it gave them an insight into what they could achieve in the next few years.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our families a happy, safe and healthy summer holiday.
