This week the children have continued to learn the nursery routine and rules. Lots of children are now using each others names  when talking to one another. We have continued to explore areas of the classroom and outside garden in more depth. In particular, the children enjoyed exploring the sand and water shed, finding out where all the resources live that they can use in their learning time. The children have shown great independence when accessing our snack area throughout the day. We have begun our topic “Once Upon a Rhyme” listening to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children enjoyed joining in with the repeated refrains and pulling faces to represent how the bears would be feeling.

We also are very excited about the arrival of 4 fish to our class fish tank. Next week we will be thinking of names and finding out some facts about the fish. Watch this space for further fish updates!
