Nursery News Autumn 2 Week 1
A rather chilly welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term. The weather has definitely changed over the holidays and a thick blanket of beautiful coloured leaves are covering nursery. We started our week with our Spooktacular day organised by the FOMW. The children enjoyed a variety of fun spooky activities and then came back to school in the late afternoon to join in with smore making and a spooky scavenger hunt.
This week we learnt about the Hindu celebration of Diwali and enjoyed learning how our friends and teachers celebrate this. We learnt the story behind Diwali and how to make our own Rangoli patterns. We also learnt about Guy Fawkes and firework night. The children learnt an important chant to help keep them safe “fire fire never touch it will hurt you very much” and also learnt how to use junk to make their own rockets.
