Nursery News - Summer 1- Week 1
A very warm welcome back to the summer term. This week we have spent time settling back into routine after the Easter Break. It was lovely for so many children to share their Easter Sparkling Moments sheet. The children are now speaking more confidently to bigger groups and have developed their sentence structure. We have enjoyed observing the tadpoles and how they have grown and changed over the holiday period. In PE we are starting to learn how to work as a team and over the next few weeks will continue to work on our throwing skills. We enjoyed a walk around the school grounds commenting on the signs of Spring and learning some new vocabulary including the names of plants such as Blue Bells and Cow Parsley. On Friday we took part in Earth Day and spoke about what we can do in nursery to reduce our waste. We came up with ideas such as thinking carefully about the size of the piece of paper we use, keeping scrap paper for cutting and sticking and taking our fruit waste to our compost bin to then use on our plants.
