Jubilee celebrations have been in full swing in Nursery. On Monday the children enjoyed a ‘virtual’ bus tour; they handed their ticket to the bus driver Mrs Bowen before embarking on a city tour of London. They got to see many of the key sites including Buckingham Palace, The London Eye and Big Ben. We have also spent time this week learning about our Queen including her name, where she lives and the pets she had. Throughout the week the children have been busy making flags and hats for our parade and street party with our link junior school Little Green which took place on Thursday. We also had lots of fun making traditional jam tarts ready for our very own nursery street party. Outside the children have enjoyed tea parties and kings and queen dressing up. The children made their very own carriage using the wheeled toys and a variety of decorations and balloons.
We would like to wish you all a fun filled half term holiday and look forward to welcoming the children back for their last half term in Nursery before they transition to Reception in September.
