Nursery News- Week 5
This week the children have enjoyed finding out about the season of Autumn. Thank you to those who collected objects that reminded them of Autumn. We spent time comparing conkers and leaves; looking at their shape, size, colour and texture. The children independently put their wellies and coats on before enjoying their first outing to our school woodland. We used our senses to see what we could hear, see, smell and touch. The children were very curious about the badger and fox holes and learnt that they are nocturnal animals that sleep in the daytime and come out at night. The highlight of our Autumn walk was watching the squirrels jump from branch to branch and discovering the HUGE pumpkins growing at the allotments.
