We began our week thinking about kind words and kind hands. The children enjoyed coming into school in odd socks to celebrate our similarities and differences.
The children have also enjoyed listening to and learning the traditional tale of ‘The Three Little Pigs’. As classes, we have started our own story maps using pictures and actions to help the children re-tell the story. We have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the children act out the story in the small world and role play areas with their friends. They have had lots of fun working collaboratively to build their own large scale houses with the den building equipment outside.
In maths this week, we explored number through a party with the three little pigs. The children challenged each other to ensure that each little pig had the correct amount of objects for the party. We have also been gaining confidence in our abilities to be performers as we practise for our Christmas play.
