What a great week we have had exploring the work of L.S Lowry. Throughout the week we have learnt what it would be like to be an artist. The children looked for similarities and differences in Lowry’s paintings and talked about what they could see. They observed people and vehicles ‘on the move’ and then developed skills to draw their own stick people with actions. They also worked collaboratively to create their own 3D models of buses using junk modelling and joining skills. We ended the week with an art work shop run by Emmy-Lou where we explored line, shape and water colour. All of the children created their own jubilee art work.
Final caterpillar update: over the half term all of our butterflies emerged and were released.
