Science Week 14th-18th March

All children from nursery to year 2 took part in British Science Week at Malvern Way. We kick started this year’s topic of growth by inviting all children to bring in a plant or some seeds in exchange for a non-uniform day. We were very impressed by the amount and variety of plants and seeds that arrived. Each year group spent time learning about plants , their lifecycles and how to look after them. Children spent time developing their own outside learning areas as well as the wider school grounds. We are excited to see all the wildflower seeds grow in our school meadow and how it develops as a haven for bees and insects.  Our growing beds have been weeded and new herbs planted along with vegetable seeds. The polytunnel is now home to lots of vegetable seeds and we look forward to the produce later on in the year. Thank you very much for all the donations and parent / carer support throughout the week planting come rain or sun.
