Following on from reading the story The Emperor’s New Clothes, the children have had a busy week of writing their own questions about the Emperor in English, preparing vegetables for the Emperors next feast and designing their own clothes for the Emperor to wear. In DT the children learnt different techniques for preparing vegetables including cutting, peeling, grating and mashing. They then had the opportunity to taste the vegetables and decide with their partner which two foods would taste good together. On Friday the children participated in a workshop about the Jewish holiday Passover. They really enjoyed learning about what Jewish people do on this holiday, including the story of Passover, what makes up a Seder plate and why those foods are important.
We hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend.
