Nursery Latest News – Summer 1 Week 5

It was a very exciting start to the week, when we noticed that two of our caterpillars were beginning to form their chrysalis. We are eagerly waiting for the last two. We look forward to seeing them emerge as beautiful butterflies in two weeks time.

We have continued to observe our tadpoles and have used our language skills to talk about the changes we can see. We have have worked hard on using our extended sentences and use of questions to find out more information.

The children have enjoyed learning to retell the traditional tale ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ using the support of a story map. They have used the pictures and accompanying actions as a prompt to recall the story. We are really impressed with their memory skills and expression when performing. We will continue to refine our story next week.
