This week the children attended Madame Dragons dance school. They moved their bodies to the music, creating moves that mirrored flying, blowing fire, catching a princess and roaring like a dragon. They impressed Madame dragon with their moves and were all rewarded with a golden star.
In maths we used non standard measure to measure the length of the dragons feet. Many children chose to use cubes, they counted how many cubes long the dragons feet were. They explored comparing the length of their own feet to the dragons feet which was lots of fun.
In art the children joined and placed 2d shapes on paper to create a shape dragon. They recalled the names and the properties of the shapes and gave their dragon a rhyming name.
