Nursery Latest News – Summer 2 – Week 7

What a wonderful last week at nursery. We started the week off thinking about what we are looking forward to in our new reception classes.

The children are very keen to explore the outdoor area, dinosaurs, drawing, writing, eating their lunch in the dining hall and playing on the big red bikes on the large playground.

It was a real treat to watch the year 2 leavers concert, the children enjoyed seeing familiar faces singing and dancing on the stage. They were a wonderful audience who demonstrated their very best listening skills.

We celebrated our year at nursery with a teddies picnic. We sang our favourite songs, played party games, enjoyed a sweet snack and reflected upon our favourite memories of nursery. It was a real treat to watch a ‘Smeds and the Smoos’ by Julia Donaldson.

We have had a wonderful year at nursery, it has been a pleasure to watch how the children have grown in confidence and are now resilient and independent learners ready for their new challenges in reception.

Have a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing the children flourish in reception.
