Governors
Welcome to the Governors’ page. As Governors we are committed to taking the School forward to ensure that all the children at Malvern Way receive an excellent education. The Governing Body work very closely with Mrs Cole and her staff to ensure that it makes the right decisions for the School and the children. The Governing Body is responsible for:
- The strategic direction of the School
- Accountability to all stakeholders
- Support and Challenge (critical friend)
Our Governing Body is made up of members of staff, parents, Local Authority appointees and members of the local community (i.e. co-opted Governors and associate members with specific skills which are beneficial to the Governing Body). As volunteers the Governing Body needs to make best use of its time and the individual Governor’s skills and experience. We meet once a term as a Full Governing Body and we also have two committees: Curriculum and Resources (which includes Premises) and Finance and Personnel. We have decided to award our associate members full voting rights at committee level.
If you would like to find out more or would like to contact the Chair of Governors please do so via the School office.
