What a ‘Spooktastic’ Halloween week the children have all had. We began on Monday with a fun fancy dress up day exploring creepy creative crafts and spooky subitising. On Tuesday the children had their first experience of the fire pit in the spinney. They listened carefully to the safety instructions before toasting marshmallows to make s’mores. Later in the week the children enjoyed listening to the story of ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’. They explored the story in the role play area and practised using their best character voices to re-enact the story. In PE this week we began exploring dance using standing shapes, floor shapes and movement to link the two together. It has been a busy week but we still managed time to talk about the things that we are good at in our Personal, social and emotional development lesson. It was lovey to hear the children make suggestions such as sharing, being a good friend and also a good listener.
