We began the week with innovating and writing about our own walk based on ‘Rosie’s Walk’ in our very own booklets.
In PE, the children learnt how to throw a javelin by using the correct javelin hold, aiming it in the direction they wanted it to go and waiting for the signal to collect the javelin at the end. They also practised how to jump along in sacks for the sack race. We had some friends who were resilient and did not give up even though it was quite tricky.
The children were very excited as the school chicks visited their classrooms. They observed them closely and they noticed how their adult feathers had begun to grow. We were also really pleased that the butterflies have emerged from their cocoons this week!
