Reception Latest News Summer 2 – Week 3

We started sports week learning about ways to keep our bodies healthy. The children came up with some good suggestions such as: eating healthy foods, drinking lots of water, having lots of sleep and exercising regularly. During planning time, the children then had a go at chopping and preparing their own fruit salads.

On Monday, the children enjoyed taking part in Tilly’s dance and yoga workshop where they learnt lots of new stretches and yoga poses. On Wednesday they took a walk in the sunshine to Croxley Tennis Club where Karen the Coach and her team helped them develop their hand eye co-ordination skills and balancing skills by playing a number of different games. Sports morning was a great success with the Reception children showing great enthusiasm and team spirit.

This half term the children have researched bug hotels and thought about the different type of bugs that would visit them. They have gone onto design their own bug hotels and this week they had the opportunity to make their bug hotels.
