On Thursday, we visited Cassiobury Park. We travelled, by tube, from Croxley Green Station to Watford Station and walked to the park. The children loved travelling on the train. Once we arrived at the park, we took part in a mini beast hunt and also visited the canal where we were able to watch a narrow boat travelling through the lock. We learnt that the Grand Union Canal is 137 miles long, has 166 locks and runs from Birmingham to the River Thames. The children also found out that canals are man made and that they were used to transport goods from one place to another before lorries and direct roads. After lunch we all enjoyed playing games on the grass and exploring in the playground. We all had a really fun day!
