Welcome to the Autumn term!
This week the children have been confident to explore their new classrooms and have started to settle into the new routines. We have been learning about our new class animals and they have had the opportunity to create a collage using different materials in discovery time.
In English they have written a sentence about their summer holidays and used their phonics knowledge to label different animals.
This week we have continued to explore our topic ‘As the Leaves Turn’ by inventing our own rags to riches stories.
This week the children enjoyed their first PE lesson. They changed independently and listened well to the safety rules of the hall. The children then took a trip into the ‘jungle’ where they moved their bodies like different animals. We ended the lesson with some mindfulness yoga.
In Nursery this week we have been focusing on promoting independence.
