This week the children have really enjoyed learning about instructions in English. The children worked carefully to make airplanes, lanterns and poppies. They realised that it is really important to read the instructions carefully to achieve the correct result. Later on in the week, the children used their knowledge of bossy verbs to write a set of instructions of how to make s’mores which they had made the previous week.
In maths, the children learnt all about equivalence and enjoyed exploring amounts using numicon and the balance scales.
We enjoyed a special assembly about Remembrance Day. When the children returned to class, they made moving poppies using split pins and poppies created from Lego.
The children ended the week with a workshop on scooter safety.
