This week the children have learnt about alliterations. They enjoyed coming up with their own alliterations to describe fireworks! They created their own word banks of lots of skills we have been learning to English, to support them with their poetry writing. They then wrote a free verse poem called Firework Night.
On Wednesday Heron class and 1/2 Owl class went to Croxleyhall Woods for their school trip. Despite the rain, the children had a fantastic time! We enjoyed building dens, toasting marshmallows on a camp fire and creating our own woodland hanging signs. A huge thank you to the Play Rangers who ran the trip for us and reminded us all just how much we can enjoy the outdoors, even when it’s raining!
