In computing, we have been using Bee-Bots to explore direction and program movements to follow a certain path. We used large paper grids to decide a start and end point for our Bee-Bot to reach. We also added some different places to stop on the way. It has made us think carefully about the instructions we need to give to ensure it goes the right way.
In history, we have been learning more about The Great Fire of London, including where and how it started. We used role play to make freeze frames of the event and then acted it out with movements; for example, the flames coming from the buildings and people rowing boats away. We then imagined we were Thomas Farriner or Samuel Pepys and wrote thought bubbles about what we might have seen.
